Just an older shot I dug up from my trip to Maine last September, I really like this one and I'm not sure why I didn't post it before this. Oh well, I submit this for your enjoyment.
One of my friends said he really liked this shot because it reminded him of a hammock that his family used to have at home...that was probably the greatest compliment anyone has ever given me about one of my photos. To evoke a feeling, even if it's not the feeling that I had framing the shot, is the ultimate goal of my photography. I think another one of my friends put it best when she said:
"To portray something, anything, that I find beatiful, sensitively and in a way that can make someone look at it differently, or touch them and leave a lasting impression... that's basically as much as I could ever hope for when it comes to art."
